The Street of Retiro is not an ordinary street in an ordinary city of Europe.
It is also not common in Portugal.
The Street of Retiro is unique in its life and history.
It is older than most streets and has existed for centuries. Number 6 welcomes visitors to the street and to the past, present, and future of the Street of Retiro.

The Nº6 - Gallery of Ceramics was founded in June 2024. Prior to that, it awaited the right project to revitalize the space.

A true gem, this small yet powerful venue offers artists and visitors a constantly evolving setting of art, ceramics, and events.

As welcoming as the name of the street suggests, Nº6 is a retreat, a refuge in the storm, a comfortable place where artists have the freedom to showcase their work while being supported and encouraged by a community that understands the challenges of ceramics.

The Nº6 invites local and international artists to apply to be part of our programming. Our team reviews each application with seriousness and respect for the time and dedication that the artist puts into their work.

We invite everyone to visit us during our operating hours, as well as at the opening events. An opening at Nº6 offers everyone access to art, to artists, and creates opportunities for connection and conversation with other collectors, enthusiasts, neighbors, and the community.
