Each class will have six students, and the technical skills to be developed on the wheel include:
Clay preparation and maintenance
Centering
Cylinders
Bowls
How to trim the foot
How to attach clay and handles
Slip and glazing
The class fee includes slips, glazes, firing of the pieces in the kiln, and access to the studio during class hours. Additional clay and extra hours in the studio can be purchased separately.
-
The classes are in-person and will take place according to the defined schedule.
You should wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty, and it is preferable to keep your nails short.
-
Handmade ceramics take time! Your creations will need to dry thoroughly and go through several firings. After the final firing, we will organize a small ceramics party. The idea is to go to a café, see all the pieces created during this month of learning, and enjoy some time together!
